The Career section of UF Uppsala is aiming to give members an insight into what a career in foreign affairs means. Striving to provide our members with opportunities to network with potential employers for internships and jobs, we organize seminars, prep-courses, mingle evenings and panel discussions.

The Career group consists of one Head of Careers, one Career assistant and ambitious students who are willing to put time and effort into providing inspiration and knowledge regarding career opportunities for our members.

Since the Career section started during the operational year of 2017/2018, there is still an amazing chance to shape and form which way the Career path should take. Do you want to build up a mentorship programme? Organize a networking event? Become an expert in handing out business cards? Being a member of the career section requires creativity, organizational and communicative skills as well as inhibiting ambition and a passion for foreign affairs.

The Career Section furthermore consists of two project leaders for Career Day. Career Day is a one-day career fair where students in politics and social sciences get to meet employers from both the public and private sector. It is organized by UF Uppsala alongside Uppsala Politicesstuderande, Uppsala Peace and Development Student Association, Pax et Bellum and Föreningen Samhällsvetarna. As a member of the project group, you will not only get valuable experience in organizing big events, but also creating a result that hundreds of students will benefit from and enjoy.

If you have any further questions, are interested in joining us, or if you want to come by a meeting for a cup of coffee, you can either contact the Head of Careers or join our Facebook group at Career Group UF Uppsala.
